Because wetblasting uses water and is dustless, paint, coatings and media drop that may contain hazards like lead or asbestos particulates do not become airborn. This results in superior containment control and waste removal. Capital Wetblasting maintains its certification to assist on environmental projects that require the highest industry safety and environmental standards .

WHAT ABOUT CONTAINMENT?
Since each substrate and location is different, each project will require its own specific containment. If we're out in the country or construction site where excess media on the ground is not an issue, no containment may be necessary. However, many locations such as residential or a food processing plant, for example, will require extensive containment to control excess media drop to surrounding areas.
Below is a 12' x 20' mobile containment system set up for removing paint in a light commercial complex.
Since we're mobile, we do charge for travel outside the city of Modesto. This charge is typically $2.50 to $3.00 per mile depending on distance. Once on site, set up, shutdown and clean up take about an hour each. Or more depending on the project and required containment. Site time is charged by the hour and includes all fuel and media. Standard hourly rate range from $160.00 to $300. This rate can fluctuate based on the required equipment, the projects complexity and/or the handling of
Due to the versatility and size of our mobile systems, we can clean just about anything.....anywhere. Our focus is commercial and industrial projects specializing in cleaning delicate surfaces such as brick, culture stone, plaster and other concrete surfaces without damage. Cleaning or removing paint , graffiti, water stains or efflorescense using other systems such as pressure washing can actually damage these type of surfaces.
Every surface is different. And it's critical to be able to adjust the combination of air pressure, water, media (abrasive) and media type as well as the nozzle distance from the surface.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The variety of substrates we clean is endless and no two projects are alike. Access, containment and clean up are all major factors that effect both time and cost. We're happy to estimate your project at no charge. This can be done via photos and/or an on site inspection.

IS THE PROCESS?
The speed of the cleaning process varies with every project, but typically we can clean heavy coatings and rust at an average of 2 sq ft per minute or 120 sq ft per hour. Coverages can far exceed this with light coatings and easy access. However, there are also projects that require special containment, man lifts, scaffolding, ladders, and more to access the cleaning area. These obviously complicate and slow the process and will effect coverage times.
